This type of cyber attack is usually conducted via email. With people sending you emails looking as if they are from trusted brands. Encouraging you to click on links within the email and inputting your personal details. The main sign to spot a phishing email is by the senders’ email address, this will not be the official company address.
Malware
This involves suspicious software or viruses being downloaded onto your computer. This is generally achieved by you clicking on a dodgy link or website. Once they have gained access to your computer they will be able to find personal details which can cause a lot of damage.
Zero-day Attack
These are becoming more common, where companies will discover a security issue. Sending out warnings to customers. This giving criminals time to invade their systems before a solution is created.
